Self Help Tips - Making Friends Is A Lot Easier Than You Think!

There are just some people in this world that can walk into a room and immediately can walk up to a stranger and start up a conversation. These are the kind of people that seem to have it made when it comes to making friends. Then there are others, perhaps like yourself that simply struggle with trying to connect with other people and you find it simply difficult to step up and make that connection with people you hardly know and really find it hard to talk to someone that you don't know at all. It doesn't have to be this way, you just need to convince yourself you can do it and understand if it doesn't work, it's not that big of a deal, there are plenty of other people out there that you can get to know.

The first thing you need to do is just go do it, go up to someone and simply introduce yourself to them. You can probably pick people out by studying them first and find those that seem to maybe be the kind of person you could relate to. If you find that person, don't hesitate to be that person that takes the first step in making the contact. Once you introduce yourself make sure that you start asking different questions to find out more about them. It's important to listen to their answers and don't interrupt them. By doing this, you are letting this person know that you are interested in them and what they have to say. This is how you are going to find out if your really do have some of the same things in common.

Asking questions is a way to see where your worlds meet and where they differ. Use the things that you end up having in common to connect with. These things might end up being the things that could start up a lasting friendship and you are not going to know this until you make the move to find out.

Another way to make friends is if at work there is a new person and you really don't want to ask them out to lunch right away for a variety of reasons, but this doesn't mean that you can't be thoughtful. When you go out to lunch, why not grab them a soda or some chips and give them to them when you get back. This will let them know that you were thinking of them. You should also try and find out when their birthday is and put it on your calendar so that when the day arrives you can give them some sort of a office birthday party. Be kind and thoughtful and do things that you would like others to do for you. You don't have to feel like you have to buy friends, but it is nice to show them random acts of thoughtfulness so that people have the desire to be around you.

One important thing to remember though is don't over do it. Don't try really hard. This is a big mistake a lot of people make when trying to make new friends is that they push way too hard and far too fast. Remember like any relationship that is going to be genuine and form a true bond is going to take time and forcing yourself on a person is going to make you look like you are desperate.

One very important thing to note and is probably the most important thing is to make sure that you are trustworthy. The fastest way in which to lose a friend is to betray them by breaking your promise or telling others what they told you in confidence. If you want to both make and keep friends, they need to feel like they can trust you.

Welcome. Just wanted to share with you the best of Europes festivals over the past year. We have visited most of these in the past and I can assure you that they are brilliant. Find time to enjoy life and attend some of these this year. Looking forward to some more interesting posts on the Marina de Bolnuevo blog (www.marinedebolnuevo.co.uk). Have a great day.

The ending hints at a sequel! Oh joy… So this well-made but extremely shallow film is bogged down even more by an extremely UN-original screenplay and heartless direction, and that’s sad.
